Let me tell you about a really delicious, well presented, and kind caterers that work here in the Alachua County area. I do have some experience with ordering catering from my previous experience at the university where I ordered catering for a large department many times a year. Braised Yum’s catering service is so good! We had their biryani with grilled paneer. They also have other really delicious items like mango lassi smoothies, and a Korean hot gravy sauce. We didn’t get these additional items due to our budget, but they were really yummy too during our taste testing session where the caterer came out to our house to us with the different options and talked to us about our event. So, that’s maybe the first point is that these caterers presented a really nice taste testing at our home of all their menu items at no additional cost to us. On the day of our event, which was a birthday party for about 15 people, the caterer was prompt in setting up their beautiful presentation of biryani and grilled paneer. Everything was set up nicely with a warmer to keep it nice during our event, and the caterer was very kind and even brought a couple birthday cards, tablecloths, all cutlery, napkins, and a balloon for the birthday boy. They truly were such a joy to work with during every point of the set up, arranging, and breakdown. All of our guests were happily surprised because they don’t typically eat exotic foods, but they enjoyed what was presented as it was very delicious and mild. The paneer was also very surprisingly good as none of us are vegans or used to those sorts of foods. The man and his family that run this company are delightful people and they worked very hard to make sure that we were happy. If you ever get a chance to have catering from Braised Yum or try their food at the farmers market, you won’t be disappointed. I highly encourage you to try their food and try them out! Biriyani was absolutely delicious! My friend and I are sharing a large with Royal gravy. we got mango lasso smoothies so delicious! We also learned so many new things. We got to experience new flavors. Absolutely divine<3
This is the best vegetarian food I ever tasted. It tastes and smells heavenly. Not only that, it is gluten free, and the process of making is geared towards enhancing bio-availability of spices. Science and amazing taste are a winning combination! I am a foodie, and this by far tops anything I ever ate!!!
Braised Yum offered to bring food to our plant nursery, Grow Hub, for our staff and board members. The food they served was delicious and nutritious! We had rice that had various vegetables in it and tofu, and paneer with a spicy or mild option. Some of our team members loved the heat of the spicy option and also enjoyed the pepper that was offered on the side. They also provided a delicious mango lassi and a strawberry rose lassi! Not only was the food great, but Braised Yum also shared information about spices and how food is medicine. Some history of the food was also shared, which we found interesting. It was a pleasure having them at Grow Hub. They're very friendly and personable! We highly recommend giving Braised Yum's flavorful food a try!💚
I had the pleasure of trying this Indian cuisine vendor at the Alachua Farmers Market at San Felasco Tech City (the weekly Wednesday market from 4–7pm), and it was such a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious—so flavorful and made with care. I ordered the biryani and the protein medley, along with a mango lassi and a strawberry smoothie. Everything was fresh, vibrant, and perfectly seasoned. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. What really stood out was the hospitality—the vendor kindly offered samples before purchasing, which allowed us to try a variety of items. He was also very knowledgeable about the history and ingredients behind the dishes, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re at the market and looking for authentic, flavorful Indian food served with warmth and care, this is a must-visit! Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing catering experience. The biryani was beautiful, vibrant yellow, incredibly flavorful, and rich, with perfectly cooked rice that was neither dry nor mushy. Everything arrived warm and fresh, which made such a difference for a large group. The strawberry lassi was hands down the best I have ever had. Creamy, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Several people went back for seconds just for that. The service was phenomenal from start to finish. Professional, punctual, and very easy to work with. Our event had a great turnout, and we had multiple people asking where the food came from and if we could have them cater again. Overall, an excellent catering experience. I would absolutely love to have them cater for us again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality food and outstanding service.
He gave us a seven step trial of food. Super good and we really enjoyed the Samosa Tacos. The owner is very generous and kind. We tried both Lassi or smoothies. We really enjoyed the strawberry. Thanks so much!!
We absolutely love Braised Yum! Such delicious food that is made with love. There are so many options for sides to the delicious biryani. The Navratan Koorma is really good. If you like spicy be sure to get a side of the “heat” red sauce with your food. Your lips will tingle with happiness.
